About The Club

Founded in 1975, The Western New York Postcard Club meets monthly, February, March, April, May, September, November and December. Meetings are held at Legacy Senior Living on Willow Pond Way in Penfield. Meetings are held on Monday evenings at 7:00 PM, typically but not always, the first Monday of the month. This includes social time, a business meeting and often a presentation.

A holiday party is held at the December meeting with food contributed by members. The club supplies snacks and drinks. Coffee and snacks are provided at regular club meetings.

The WNYPC is a social club, organized for the dissemination of knowledge and news relating to the collecting of picture postcards. The club promotes, develops and encourages this enjoyable hobby. It fosters a spirit of fellowship and cooperation among other clubs and collectors. The club welcomes you as a dealer, collector or enthusiast.

Officers are elected for two year terms in December of odd numbered years, after a nominating committee has presented a slate of candidates in November. Committee chairs are filled on a voluntary basis with no set term, as is the position of Editor of the club’s newsletter, the Bulletin. The Bulletin is published three times per year, according to the seasons, and is mailed to each member address, one copy per address. The Winter Bulleting typically includes the complete membership roster. The club has a website and an opt-in email list.

The primary source of income is the annual Postcard Show and Sale which is held in October. Annual dues are another source of funding. Dues are $10.00 per year for one member or $15 for all members of a family of the same household. Club members are admitted to the annual show at no charge. Non members must pay admission of $3.00 per person. Memberships are renewable at the annual show in October or by mail and are due by December 31. Renewals not received by January 15 will not be included in the published roster.
